TABLE TENNIS – BAHRAIN Table Tennis Association (BTTA) president and Asian Table Tennis Union (ATTU) vice-president for West Asia Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa delivered the opening address at the 30th Asian Youth Table Tennis Championships in Bangkok, Thailand, on behalf of ATTU president Khalil bin Ahmed Al Mohannadi.
In her address, Shaikha Hayat highlighted the significance of the championships for the under-15 and under-17 age categories, describing them as a key platform for nurturing emerging talent and developing the sport’s future champions in Asia.
She encouraged the participating players to view the tournament as an opportunity to learn, grow, and inspire future generations, stressing that competing at the continental level is an achievement in itself. On the sidelines of the championships, Shaikha Hayat will also participate in the ATTU executive board meeting.
Meanwhile, BTTA vice-president BTTA vice-president Abdulali Al Madah is attending the event as a technical supervisor, assigned by the ATTU.
