A veteran doctor who served for more than four decades at the Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC) has died.
Dr PV Cheriyan died in Kerala, India, where he was undergoing treatment.
He arrived in Bahrain on October 16, 1979, and worked at the SMC Accident and Emergency department.
He was a medical coordinator for national and international events, including the Formula One race followed by social activities at The Indian School, Bahrain Medical Society, Cancer Care Group, and other associations.
