The long-standing partnership between Bahrain and India, including opportunities to further develop co-operation across various domains, were reviewed when His Majesty King Hamad yesterday received Indian External Affairs Minister Dr Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, who is visiting the kingdom.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, was present.
His Majesty said the strategic and long-standing relations have continued over the decades on strong foundations of co-operation, respect and understanding.
He expressed appreciation for India’s solidarity with Bahrain following the Iranian aggression, and for its efforts within the international community to maintain security and stability and support global peace.
The meeting discussed regional and international developments of mutual interest, particularly the latest developments in the region and efforts to reinforce security, stability and peace.
The Indian minister commended His Majesty’s role in advancing the close relations between the two countries.
