BASKETBALL – Bahrain's senior men’s 3x3 basketball national team will be competing in the second Algiers Lite Quest in Algeria, to be held tomorrow and Friday.
The tournament is set to feature 12 squads, including the national teams of Comoros, Cameroon, Egypt, Libya, and Bahrain, Tunisia One and Tunisia Two, and Algeria’s under-21 national team along with local outfits Team SS Annaba, DZ Show, FASU National Team, and Team LABB.
The Bahrainis are to hit the half-court in the competition with the quartet of Bogdan Dragovic, Austin Ajukwa, Uros Ilic, and Elyas Younes, who had just played in the Caceres Challenger in Spain, part of the Fiba 3x3 World Tour 2026, as the kingdom’s representatives Seef.
The Algiers Lite Quest acts as a qualifier for the Mataro Challenger 2026, to be held in Spain on September 26 and 27, also as part of this year’s Fiba 3x3 World Tour.
Fiba’s premier street basketball series features tournaments of various levels held around the world.
Masters events are the highest-tier, followed by Challengers – both of which are fed by the qualifiers, which include Super Quest, Quest, and Lite Quest events.
