Scores of donors took part in a blood donation campaign organised by the Bahrain Society for Sickle Cell Disease Patient Care in collaboration with the Isa Town Charity Society.
Society secretary-general Zakariya Al Kadhem and charity deputy secretary-general Dr Manahil Mansoor attended.
The campaign was held for the 26th consecutive year at the Salmaniya Medical Complex central blood bank.
The participation reflected the two societies’ ongoing commitment to supporting national humanitarian initiatives that promote voluntary blood donation and help ensure a sustainable blood supply for patients, particularly individuals living with sickle cell disease who often require blood transfusions as part of their treatment.
