Bahrain’s football fans flocked to cafés, restaurants, hotels and lounges last night to watch the blockbuster FIFA World Cup final between Argentina and Spain.
Venues across the kingdom were packed hours before kickoff, with giant screens set up and fans decked out in sky blue and red jerseys.
Many cafes reported full bookings days in advance after scrambling to create extra seating for supporters, while hotels hosted special viewing events with live commentary, giveaways and themed menus.
Several hotels, cafés and shopping complexes arranged additional tables, chairs and giant screens to cope with overwhelming demand, with business owners earlier describing the final week of the tournament as their ‘busiest period in years’.
The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain, hosted an immersive ‘Football Fanzone Finale’ at La Med, marking the culmination of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Fans soaked up the excitement as InterContinental Regency Bahrain served up an exciting mix of football and flavour, combining a curated dining experience with the live screening.
Chery Bahrain organised a special screening for Chery owners at the Dana Mall Epix Cinema, with games and prizes.
A separate screening was also held at Dana Mall for the public.
