Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammad Al-Yamahi on Monday strongly condemned the Iranian attack targeting a power and water desalination station in Kuwait, describing it as a grave violation of international law.
In a statement, Al-Yamahi said targeting civilian facilities and vital infrastructure constitutes an unacceptable assault on Kuwait's sovereignty and a dangerous escalation threatening regional security and stability.
He reaffirmed the Arab Parliament's full solidarity with Kuwait and support for all measures it takes to safeguard its security and stability, stressing that Kuwait's security is an integral part of Arab national security.
Al-Yamahi also called on the international community to assume its responsibilities by stopping such attacks and taking a firm stance against violations targeting the sovereignty of Arab states or their civilian facilities
