THE Tender Board yesterday opened bids for government projects in the infrastructure and services sectors, with a 2026-2028 bridge maintenance contract and the prequalification of contractors for water distribution contracts among the most significant tenders in terms of value and participation.
The highest bid for the bridge maintenance contract reached BD1.735 million, while the lowest stood at BD9,975,000. The project covers routine maintenance and essential repairs to bridges and related structures, helping to enhance the safety of the kingdom’s road network.
The board also opened applications for the prequalification of contractors seeking long-term contracts to manage water distribution for the Electricity and Water Authority. A total of 52 prequalification applications were received.
In the primary healthcare sector, bids were opened for a contract to provide 29 drivers, distributors and shift supervisors.
