Alba, the world’s largest aluminium smelter on a single site, has reaffirmed its commitment to local youth development as it concluded its annual summer camp.
Organised in collaboration with INJAZ Bahrain, the six-day event took place from July 26 to August 1 at the Alba Club and INJAZ Bahrain headquarters.
Alba chief executive officer Ali Al Baqali, along with senior officials from both organisations, visited the camp to mentor youngsters and share key professional insights.
The initiative brought together more than 60 employees’ children aged between 14 and 18.
Supported by Alba volunteers and INJAZ staff, the interactive programme featured specialised training modules, including the Innovation Camp, Toastmasters, Finance Park and Career Walk.
Participants gained vital leadership, communication and career-advancement skills.
They also embarked on educational field trips to the University Medical Centre at King Abdullah Medical City and the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB).
Through these continuous corporate social responsibility programmes, Alba continues to invest heavily in nurturing the future generation of Bahraini leaders.
This initiative marks the first of two planned summer camps this year, with a second session scheduled later this month for a younger demographic.
