MOTORSPORT – A delegation of high-ranking Bahrain Motor Federation (BMF) officials conducted an inspection visit to Sepang International Circuit (SIC) in Malaysia, as part of preparations for the Formula One Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2026, which will be held at Sepang from October 2 to 4.
Their visit follows the directives of BMF president and FIA vice-president for Middle East and North Africa Shaikh Abdulla bin Isa Al Khalifa, and in co-operation and co-ordination with Bahrain International Circuit.
The BMF delegation reviewed all technical and organisational aspects of the race and assessed the readiness of the circuit’s facilities and equipment designated for marshals, along with race management procedures, to ensure the highest levels of preparedness for the successful staging of the international motorsport event.
They also held meetings with officials from the Motorsports Association of Malaysia and management of SIC to discuss various organisational and technical matters, mechanisms for joint-coordination, and operational plans for staging the race in accordance with the highest standards approved by the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA).
The visit reflects the BMF’s commitment to closely monitor all on-site preparations and ensure the highest organisational standards, contributing to the successful hosting of this year’s F1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.
