A BD200 reward is being offered for the safe return of Hobbes, a missing black-and-white ‘tuxedo’ cat who disappeared while being prepared to travel to India with his family.
He was last seen around 6.30pm on Friday behind the British Club in Umm Al Hassam.
His owner, Dr Shruti Prem, was already at the airport preparing to leave Bahrain when she received the devastating news.
She cancelled her flight and stayed behind to search for Hobbes.
The timid and gentle cat is believed to be extremely frightened and may be hiding in small, enclosed spaces, including gaps between walls, underneath parked cars or behind outdoor air-conditioning units.
The family is urging residents to keep an eye out for Hobbes in Umm Al Hassam, Mahooz, Adliya and surrounding areas.
Anyone who spots him is asked to take a photo, note the exact location and immediately call 35077579, 66763901, 39083139 or 66330069.
