SWIMMING – Bahrain Aquatics is gearing up to host the first edition of the DANAAT Female Swimming Championship, to be held under the patronage of the Supreme Council for Women.
This historic national event, exclusive for female swimmers, will be held on Saturday at Khalifa Sports City swimming arena in Isa Town.
There will be two sessions in the meeting – beginning with the morning from 8.30am to 11.45am and followed by the evening session from 4.15pm to 6.30pm.
The awarding ceremonies will follow right after the action.
All female swimmers in Bahrain, including professionals, club athletes, and amateurs, are welcome to join.
There will be three age categories in the competition, including under-12, under-15, and 16-and-over.

The championship brings together female swimmers from all corners of the kingdom in a professional and competitive environment.
“DANAAT championship represents far more than competition – it is a celebration of opportunity, determination, and the remarkable progress of female sports in Bahrain,” said Bahrain Aquatics vice-president and Arab Aquatics women’s committee head Dr Maryam Abu Alfath.

Bahrain Aquatics competition manager Fajer Aldoseri commented: “We aim to deliver a well-organised, fair, and enjoyable competition environment where every swimmer can perform at her best.
