MUAY THAI – Alkaabi Fighter Academy came away with an impressive seven-medal haul, including one gold, in the Eastern Province Clubs and Centres Muay Thai Championship, held in Saudi Arabia.
The academy’s team also came away with five silver medals and one bronze medal amidst a strong field of competitors.
The gold medal was captured by Faisal Ahmed Alkaabi in the under-12 boys’ 44kg category.
The silver medals were claimed by Ali Alsaeed in the under-10 boys’ 30kg class, Hamad Alabbad in the elite men’s 18-40 67kg, Jassim Aldoseri in the under-18 men’s 86kg, Rashid Buqambar in the under-14 boys’ 54kg, and Youssef Sami Al Hajri in the lite men’s 18-40 over-91kg category.
The bronze medal was claimed by Ali Abduljaleel in the under-16 boys’ 57kg class.
Academy coach Ahmed Alkaabi praised the squad’s honourable results in the championship, stressing that their achievements are the fruit of the discipline and effort exerted by the athletes.
