MOTORSPORT – Ministry of Information radio and television affairs assistant undersecretary Younis Salman Al Ghais, in the presence of the ministry’s director of television Abdulrahman Khamis Al Zayani, received a Bahrain Motor Federation (BMF) delegation, headed by BMF general manager Abdulaziz Al Thawadi, to discuss ways of enhancing co-operation and coordination in the organisation of international sporting events.
Al Thawadi conveyed the greetings and thanks of BMF president and FIA vice-president for Mena Shaikh Abdulla bin Isa Al Khalifa to Information Minister Dr Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Noaimi in appreciation of the ministry’s support and attention to highlighting national achievements in motorsport.
Al Thawadi gave a brief on the BMF’s preparations – together with Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) – for the Formula One Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia 2026, to be held from October 2 to 4 at Sepang International Circuit.
Al Ghais praised the efforts of the BMF and BIC, and stressed the Information Ministry’s keenness to back the national efforts and highlight them in the media.
