China’s heritage and its ties with Bahrain were highlighted last week, during a series of special events.
More than 700 people attended a reception last Wednesday at the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel to commemorate the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
Chinese ambassador Ni Ruchi welcomed top Bahraini dignitaries and key officials, including Parliament Speaker Ahmed Al Musallam and Industry and Commerce Minister Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro.
The reception was followed by a cultural performance by the UAE Chinese Qipao Association highlighting Chinese heritage.
The embassy worked with the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities to host the ‘Tree of Life’ cultural show, alongside an interactive zone showcasing Chinese intangible cultural heritage.
