BASKETBALL – THE 2026-27 Zain Bahrain Basketball League will tip off on October 4, the Bahrain Basketball Association (BBA) announced yesterday.
The BBA issued the schedules for the first three rounds of the new season, which will see 10 of the kingdom’s top basketball clubs hitting the hardwood at Zain Basketball Arena in Um Al Hassam Sports Complex.
The squads include defending champions Muharraq, Manama, Al Ahli, Al Hala, Al Najma, Al Ettihad, Nuwaidrat, Sitra, Samaheej, and Isa Town.
A single game will be played on the evening of October 4 between Najma and Nuwaidrat. Week one continues the following two nights, with Hala facing Isa Town followed by Sitra taking on Manama on October 5, and Samaheej battling Muharraq before Ahli and Ettihad lock horns on October 6.
Week two of the new campaign is then scheduled for October 12 to 14, while week three is slated for October 19 to 21.
