Five people have been arrested for their alleged involvement in three separate drug-related cases.
More than 2.5kg of narcotics and psychotropic substances, with an estimated street value of more than BD40,000, were seized, according to the Anti-Narcotics Directorate at the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science.
Acting on information received, officers launched investigations that led to the arrest of the suspects, who were identified only as Asian nationals, aged between 39 and 46.
The case has been referred to the Public Prosecution.
