His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, affirmed Bahrain’s commitment, led by His Majesty King Hamad, to supporting GCC projects and initiatives across all sectors, including the economic and financial sectors.
He noted that these efforts strengthen GCC co-operation and integration, contributing to further achievements.
HRH Prince Salman was speaking yesterday at Riffa Palace as he met the heads of delegations participating in the 126th meeting of the Financial and Economic Co-operation Committee of the GCC states, as well as the governors of GCC central banks, GCC Secretary General Jasem AlBudaiwi and International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, who is visiting the kingdom to participate in the joint meeting between GCC finance ministers and the IMF.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the deep-rooted ties and shared aspirations among the GCC states, which underpin joint GCC action.
Bahrain hosted the meeting as part of its presidency of the 46th session of the GCC Supreme Council – ‘Bahrain Summit’.
HRH Prince Salman highlighted the importance of continuing to strengthen joint GCC efforts and implementing the directives of GCC leaders to further advance co-operation.
