MOTORSPORT – The 15th Bahrain Motorsport Medicine Seminar-Malaysia took place in Kuala Lumpur this week ahead of the Formula One Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia 2026.
The event was held under the theme ‘One Team, One Response: Delivering Medical Care at Formula One Speed’. Bahrain’s Ambassador to Malaysia Dr Waleed Al Manea delivered remarks at the opening ceremony.
The course featured the participation of medical teams from Bahrain and Malaysia.
Ambassador Al Manea highlighted that more than 500 Bahrainis are participating in organising and supporting this weekend’s F1 grand prix alongside their Malaysian counterparts, stressing that the race represents more than a sporting event for Bahrain, serving as a strong expression of trust, partnership, and friendship between the two countries and a new chapter in Bahrain’s long-standing relationship with F1.
Ambassador Al Manea highlighted the growing Bahraini presence in Malaysia, coinciding with the launch of Gulf Air’s direct flights between Bahrain and Kuala Lumpur and the opening of the new premises of the Bahrain Embassy, reflecting the expanding co-operation between the two countries across diplomacy, aviation, business, tourism, sports, and professional fields.
