The World Health Organisation said on Tuesday that Russian authorities have identified all of the people in contact with a laboratory worker at a plague research institute in Siberia who died of unknown causes.
"All of the patients' contacts have been reportedly been identified and are being monitored for illness, and none to date have shown symptoms of illness," said WHO spokesperson Christian Lindmeier.
Russia welcomes US President Donald Trump's offer of assistance following the death of a worker at Russia's plague research institute, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
Peskov said Russia's public health watchdog Rospotrebnadzor was handling the situation and would provide further information as it became available, while monitoring developments following the laboratory worker's death.
