BASKETBALL – The 2026-27 Bahrain Super Cup, named in honour of late Bahrain Basketball Association president Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, is scheduled to take place tonight between bitter-rivals Muharraq and Manama.
The one-off contest, which is the traditional curtain-raising game to a new national campaign, is scheduled for an 8.30pm tip-off at Zain Basketball Arena in Um Al Hassam Sports Complex.
Manama are in this year’s Bahrain Super Cup as two-time defending champions in the Zain Bahrain Basketball League and the Khalifa bin Salman Cup, while Manama were their chief opponents for the titles in both competitions last season.
Muharraq will be aiming to take the Bahrain Super Cup for the second successive year, with Manama lifting the trophy the season before last.
