Ebrahim K. Kanoo (EKK), the exclusive distributor of Toyota in Bahrain, has announced the launch of the all-new Toyota Hilux.
The arrival of the ninth-generation model updates the pickup’s established quality, durability and reliability with structural modifications, advanced technology and a redesigned exterior.
Developed under the global ‘Tough and Agile’ concept, the new Hilux retains the rugged character of its predecessors. The vehicle combines the heavy-duty capabilities required for demanding commercial work with updated everyday usability, supporting professional, family and recreational operations across the country.
Toyota senior marketing manager Ayman Shehadeh said: “The Hilux has long been a trusted and successful choice for customers in Bahrain, valued for its durability, reliability, and versatility.
“The all-new model builds on that success with greater comfort, advanced technology, and confidence for every journey.”
The new line-up introduces petrol and diesel powertrains tailored to meet different operating requirements. Structural changes include enhanced body rigidity alongside refinements to the engine and cabin mounts, which work together to improve ride comfort. Additionally, an Electric Power Steering system reduces steering effort, supporting more responsive handling and improved straight-line stability on local roads.
The exterior combines a strong horizontal stance with sculpted surfaces to modify the pickup’s design while preserving its traditional utility.
For the Bahrain market, exterior equipment features include 18-inch alloy wheels and the introduction of new Ash and Sulphur Metallic paint options.
Inside, the cabin layout balances durability with updated controls and passenger comfort. On selected specifications, a 12.3-inch Display Audio system and a 12.3-inch Multi-Information Display centralise multimedia and driving data. A Multi-Terrain Monitor assists drivers with evaluating surroundings, while an Electric Parking Brake updates daily operation.
Safety features have been enhanced with the inclusion of an upgraded Toyota Safety Sense suite and Adaptive Cruise Control. On premium specifications, a Panoramic View Monitor, Blind Spot Monitor, and Parking Support Brake provide additional assistance with visibility and manoeuvring.
