FOOTBALL – SAUDI Arabia will kick off next year’s Asian Cup against Palestine in Riyadh on January 7, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) said yesterday after confirming the tournament schedule and venues.
The 24-team continental championship will run from January 7 to February 5, with the opening match and final both scheduled at Riyadh’s King Fahd Sports City Stadium.
The tournament will feature 51 matches across eight stadiums in three cities in Saudi Arabia.
