A CALL has been made for clear geographical boundaries around Bahrain’s protected Buhair Valley to safeguard its natural treasures, while allowing development and investment to proceed in areas outside the reserve.
Southern Municipal Council chairman and area councillor Abdulla Abdullatif and MP Mohammed Al Rifai are urging the Oil and Environment Ministry to determine the precise geographical co-ordinates, arguing that clearly defined boundaries would help prevent trespassing while providing greater certainty for potential development in non-protected areas .
