Manama made history in football after claiming their first ever King's Cup title by defeating favourites and defending champions Muharraq 2-1 in their final match held last night at the Bahrain National Stadium in Isa Town.
The stadium saw a nearly full crowd of supporters of both teams, who cheered for both teams until the final moments of the match.
All three goals came in the second half after a goalless in the first half.
After the end of the game, the Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa on behalf of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, presented the gold medals and the King Cup title to Manama team members.
