Central midfielder for Qatari club Al Sadd and former Barcelona maestro Xavi Hernandez has expressed his desire to play at the Khalifa International Stadium on Friday in the Amiri Cup final against Al Rayyan, according to QNA.
Khalifa International Stadium is the first stadium that has been completed ahead of the 2022 World Cup. He said that he is excited about the final at this stadium, noting that Qatar is doing well as the first stadium has been completed for the World Cup.
The best players in the world will come here in 2022, the Al Sadd star said, adding that this should motivate the youth to develop and provide a good World Cup.
Xavi also expressed his pleasure with the performance of his team, pointing out that he wanted to transfer Barcelona's way of playing to Al Sadd.
The Spanish footballer expressed his happiness over the great season he presented on a personal level and said that he was surprised that he scored 10 goals and made 16 more goals, although he is 37 years old. He also said that he enjoys football in Qatar.
