The late electronic dance music (EDM) star Tim Bergling, better known as Avicii, "was extremely kind to all our staff and acted like any of our regular guests", said Muscat Hills Resort.
The hotel management released an official statement regarding the day Avicii was found dead in Muscat on Friday afternoon, Times of Oman reported.
The DJ was visiting Oman, and had visited the resort a few days ago, said the hotel, which received "excessive amounts of calls and messages" following Avicii's death.
The hotel announced that it would not provide details with regards to any of the guests' visit or stay in compliance with privacy reasons.
"Avicii definitely did seem to be in good spirits while enjoying his time. As much as we enjoyed his company here at Muscat Hills Resort, we are extremely sad to hear and read all the recent news and therefore we would like to express our sincere condolences to his family, friends and all his fans," the statement added.
The resort said that it would dedicate the coming Beats by the Beach party on April 27 in memory of Avicii. The bay will be lit up throughout the night, they said.
