Bahraini music producer Mohammed Al Turk, father of singer Hala Al Turk, was in tears as he announced that he has cancer.
He appeared in live streaming on his Instagram account to say that he had been diagnosed with the disease.
“My doctor asked me to undergo some medical tests after I felt tired and had fever. He later informed me that I have cancer,” said Mr Al Turk, who is married to Moroccan singer Donia Batma.
He appealed to social media users to stop insulting him online, claiming the cyber defamatory campaign was the cause of his sickness.
