Lanterns Restaurant, established 27 years ago, enjoys a reputation for the finest fusion of Indian cuisine and ambience in Bahrain.
The original restaurant is located in Budaiya and after more than two very successful decades Lanterns underwent a major expansion, opening branches in Adliya, Durrat Al Bahrain, Juffair and now in Riffa.
All branches offer traditional, delicious Indian fare that is extremely popular among the people in Bahrain.
The Juffair and Durrat Al Bahrain branches also offer a Chinese menu and the newly-opened Lanterns Riffa has major addition to the already extensive menu with Japanese cuisine.
Guests of the Riffa branch can enjoy sushi and tepanyaki as an alternative to the Indian and Chinese cuisine.
For those who enjoy the original menu that Lanterns is famous for, you will not be disappointed as signature dishes such as butter chicken and biryani grace the menu accompanied by purdah vegetable biryani for vegetarian guests. Also available at the Riffa branch are mixed grills, a range of meats and fish and pudina paneer tikka, to name but a few – all prepared to perfection.
For guests with a sweet tooth there are scrumptious desserts available including honey crisp with ice cream, crispy fried flat noodles tossed in caramel and honey sauce served with vanilla ice cream.
The Riffa branch is open daily from midday until midnight and as with our other outlets a buffet is available during dinner on Thursdays and Fridays, alongside a lunch on Fridays and Saturdays.
To ensure that every branch at Lanterns delivers the same flavour and consistency, certain aspects of food production will be centralised such as marinades, sauces and poppadoms.
However, every branch continues to operate its own kitchen using the freshest ingredients and dishes prepared on-site by our talented chefs.
Lanterns Adliya is conveniently located and provides a wonderful ambience for a warm evening as you relax with friends in the picturesque courtyard.
Breath-taking views await customers at the Durrat Al Bahrain branch, while those looking for a cosier atmosphere may prefer to visit Juffair.
