Manama: Mövenpick Hotel Bahrain has won Skytrax’s World Airport Award for Best Airport Hotel in the Middle East for the second year in a row.
Considered a global benchmark for airport and hospitality excellence, the Skytrax World Airport Awards was established in 1999 with its first global airport customer satisfaction survey inviting over 13 million global travellers to elect a winner.
“I am extremely proud to be receiving this award for the hotel the second time, it is a recognition again
for the consistent quality and service that we offer,” said the hotel’s general manager
Daniel Kaan.
The awards were based on a property’s excellent performance in key indicators for guest and traveller satisfaction.
The final list of winners was put through as nominated by 1.5m airport hotel guests.
The criteria included facilities and fitness, quality of food, cleanliness, leisure, comfort and accessibility to the airport, amongst others.
“The needs and expectations for airport hotel guests can be very demanding, and we congratulate Mövenpick Hotel Bahrain on this fabulous achievement which is recognised by this
award as the best airport hotel in the Middle East,” said Skytrax chief executive Edward Plaisted.
