A UAE-based mobile application, developed by women, providing families with activities in their vicinity for children is gaining popularity in Bahrain.
QiDZ, launched in November 2017, allows parents to plan fun playdates for their children while also reading reviews from other parents.
It was introduced in Bahrain in December last year and has since been growing rapidly, QiDZ chief executive and co-founder Simona Agolini told the GDN.
“QiDZ is the first and leading mobile app in the region that consolidates all family-friendly entertainment and after-school activities in one place,” she said.
To mark International Women’s Day, which falls today, QiDZ has launched an initiative for aspiring entrepreneurs by providing interactive sessions.
“As five female co-founders we want to share our accumulated business knowledge through interactive sessions, giving small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs a chance to openly ask questions and receive our practical advice,” said Ms Agolini.
“We’ve been approached multiple times for business advice and we thought this was a great opportunity to share our knowledge and experience with others through these sessions.”
“As an SME we have created the type of environment that supports individuals at different phases in their personal and professional journey, and we actively look to find solutions to provide a supportive and flexible work environment for our staff.”
