Any person who breaks the 14-day self-quarantine rule whether at home or at a medical institution will face legal action.
Punishment includes jail for a minimum of three months and a fine of between BD1,000 to BD10,000, according to a Public Prosecution statement issued today (March 12).
Investigations are ongoing in connection with three people - a doctor, a lawyer and a businessman - for breaking the self-quarantine rule which was introduced as part of efforts to prevent the spread of the Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19).
