AN Indian film director based in Bahrain is working on his third project in the kingdom.
The short movie, The Space, which has been filmed in a flat in Salmaniya, is written and directed by Prashobh Menon and will be entered into festivals in Kerala.
“The film portrays people who do not enjoy the vastness of this world,” Mr Menon told the GDN, adding that it is based on his observations and “some real-life characters” who inspired him to do the movie.
The 10-minute film took three days to complete while work is ongoing on the background music, he added.
Bahrain-based actors Pooja Unnikrishnan, Soumya Krishna Prasad, Jeeva Vinodkumar, Reshma Rahul, Melvin and six-year-old Bella make up the cast of the movie.
Once complete, the movie will be hosted on YouTube and entered into short film festivals.
Mr Menon has directed two other short films in the past: The Lady Beyond received awards and was screened at various short film festivals across Kerala, India; and River, which will be featured in film festivals along with The Space.
