A BILATERAL agreement between India and Bahrain to operate flights in a regulated manner amidst travel restrictions due to Covid-19 has been finalised.
The Indian Embassy on its Twitter account said that the “air bubble” between the two countries was "operational".
"We are happy to inform that both the governments have agreed to operationalisation of an Air bubble arrangement between India and Bahrain", it said.
The “air bubble” concept emerged as nations felt the need to ensure the free flow of goods and people while keeping the pandemic in check.
India last month (Aug 20) announced that it was negotiating with 13 countries, including Bahrain, to establish this safe travel corridor.
