PINK-themed pictures are being showcased as part of an online exhibition aimed at raising awareness of breast cancer.
The initiative, ‘Pink Gallery’, is organised by Women Of Indian Series (WISB) founded by two Indian housewives – Sumitra Praveen and Vidya Sreekumar.
Ms Praveen told the GDN that the online exhibition is open to all.
“All people have to do is click a picture of anything in pink and add a caption while being creative,” she said.
“A maximum of three pictures will be allowed per person and selected entries will be featured on our social media pages.
“Our aim is to add to global efforts on raising awareness of breast cancer and the need for early detection.”
Ms Praveen said that WISB has done more projects aimed at encouraging and inspiring women.
“It is about lending a hand – not all can help with money or material – so we are a simple group of women doing our best because we honestly care for those who are battling breast cancer and we salute those fighters.”
Those wishing to take part in the ‘Pink Gallery’ can submit pictures through Whatsapp on 36047200 until October 20. For more details contact 39062720.
