Kuwait City: Kuwait's Education Ministry has allotted 91 schools in the country as emergency shelters in various governorates, Al-Anba daily reported.
The move, which comes in light of the exceptional circumstances brought about by the coronavirus pandemic, is per the instruction of the ministry's acting undersecretary Faisal Al-Maqseed.
The ministry has fully equipped the centres in cooperation with the Civil Defense Department, and sources say 16 of these schools are located in Jahra Governorate, 17 in the Capital, 12 in Farwaniya, 17 in Hawally, 12 in Mubarak Al- Kabeer and 17 in Ahmadi.
