MP Khalid Bu Onk tested positive for Covid-19 today.
He is set to receive a tracker tomorrow and remain in his Galali home for 10 days.
He first checked himself using a rapid test kit following a fever on Saturday night.
After a positive result, he visited a private hospital for a proper RT-PCT test.
He then received confirmation of the positive result on the BeAware app.
"I will attend Tuesday's session remotely," he told the GDN.
"No MP has come in close contact with me since I attended my office at the National Assembly during last week's session.
"It is still unknown from where I got Covid-19, but I am asymptomatic.”
He is the fifth MP to test positive for Covid-19.
