MANAMA: Bahrain Ship Repairing and Engineering Company (Basrec) has renewed its ISO 9001: 2015 quality certification.
The shipyard announced that this follows an audit on its operations and external review of the quality management system carried out by Lloyd’s Register, a registered certification body.
The assessment found that Basrec met all the requirements to receive the standard.
Since it first obtained the ISO 9001 certification in 1997, the shipyard has annually passed the external quality audit, which has translated into the company’s interest in upgrading its operations to match the highest international standards and applying all quality procedures.
