Black Lives Matter US embassy flag snub
I’m not familiar with these two individuals (Naman Arora and Stanley Szecowka) that wrote this misinformed article. For someone to be so ignorant of the facts of the events in the US I would be hesitant to display such limited knowledge in local newspapers.
Apparently, these two have not been exposed to reports of the recent terrorist activities that have wracked the inner cities of Democratically-run (scoff) cities – these supposed (BLM) peaceful protests that quickly turned into free shopping opportunities and arson practice for the participants.
They should have all been arrested and charged with the vicious crimes they committed. But the Demo-elite would rather let the perpetrators have their days of anarchy.
For the serious contemplation of flying the flag of a self-admitted communist/socialist organisation with the US flag, for which I have served under for more than 20 years, is as preposterous as it is insulting.
If the person wants to believe in that then let them do it in the privacy of their own homes. Do not defile the grounds, the flag nor the majority of the US-loving, constitution following, law-abiding citizens.

Great article GDN! If the US embassy wanted to fly the LGBTQ in their embassy they should’ve flown the BLM flag too. This points out hypocrisy of the US embassy and shows that they have an agenda with the LGBTQ flag they flew.
@isakhalifa
Apparently, the Rainbow people still don’t care about the BLM movement, the most important thing is that they could exercise their ‘thing’ freely and to scam everyone with their deviated political correctness-shaming schemes. This shows how ‘flexible’ their definition of freedom is to fit their cherry-picking attitude. Kudos for GDN!
@cielo_mu
The US is a hypocrite state – bombing people around the world and then protecting the rights of the LGBTQ – talk about double standards.
@beastbatnest
Double standards ... black rights NO or just keep silent about it ... gay rights YES and be offensive about it. What’s wrong USA?
Black people are human as well, learn from Muslims!
@slr20002
I’m not against LGBT but, with all due respect to the culture and religion of the host country, this so inappropriate.
Jane Bantoc Bel-ida
It’s too much now. Just humans preferring the same sex – they are not heroes or anything. Stop glorifying their taste in life. It will be vegan flags flying next ... enough!
Sarah Mac Maccers
All countries should respect the host country’s cultures, rules and other protocols. The USA is not an exception.
Rajesh Kumar C S
Unacceptable! They need to respect the host country’s culture.
John De la Rosa
I don’t think this should be controversial. Bahrain is a very open and progressive nation. This kind of obscurantism isn’t in keeping with the country’s spirit.
Morbid Serenade
That is too much! They must respect the culture and religion of Bahrain and other countries. And, that is not about democracy, it is about disrespect.

If a flag offends you then maybe work on your feelings.
Lee Ann Fleetwood
They should respect the country’s religion. Bahrain is an Islamic country. Therefore they are wrong to disrespect the religion’s laws.
Hayoosh Alzayani
Provocative move and totally unasked for during this time of crisis we are going through.
Lloyd Gomez
I support this action in terms of human rights. There is nothing controversial about this. Bahrain is also a haven of tolerance and flexibility. Whether people like it or not, it’s time to support differences. Homosexuality has always existed in every culture and creed. Now it is in the open, the LGBTQI+ community is entitled to respect.
Sophie Marie
Why what is wrong with that? They deserve respect too and we are all humans.

Man pays BD700 for a plate of foul in slip-up
I really hope he enjoyed it.
@_lanaobaid
This happens a lot around Bahrain.
@ajnas_bbx
Damn, I couldn’t even make that mistake, even if I wanted to.
@_mahmood.21
Why directly file a police report? He can even call BenefitPay directly or just call the bank to cancel the payment. He can even choose to request the payment in the app option. It’s his mistake anyway.
@mrs.reslieannem
Good he didn’t get heart attack!
@leyla_fit_
Well, I was also unfortunate enough to mistype a digit and send a misdirected payment. While the concept of making payments with just a click sounds great, I ended up making a transaction against the wrong amount. I paid BD101 instead of BD1.100 for a delicious plate of biryani at Al Zawra restaurant Khamis by BenefitPay. Now ‘will I be able to get it back?’ was the question spinning around. I’m so thankful to the staff specifically Mr Fakhrul Islam (cashier) who co-operated so well and I got my amount back within three to four days after confirmation.
@the.official_abeer
The foul made him a fool.
@_.maryamshhh
Owner initially thought ... what a generous tipper!
@binzkelpaul
The dot is everything.
@marali.1.3.2020
I made a similar mistake with BD0.900 and paying BD9.
@rajafareedd
This is one of the things I like in Bahrain: good system that guarantees honest dealings. God bless the Bahrain government.
@eze.onyeze
Lesson learned: Be attentive of digits while paying through BenefitPay.
