Bahrain has strongly condemned the hostile Iranian aggressions and praised the kingdom’s security personnel for preserving its stability.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday chaired an extraordinary Cabinet meeting at Gudaibiya Palace, which expressed its appreciation for the solidarity and national unity demonstrated by citizens and residents under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad.
The Cabinet stressed the importance of adhering to United Nations Security Council Resolution 2817, which strongly condemns and demands an immediate end to all Iranian attacks on the Gulf states and Jordan.
The resolution also calls for an immediate and unconditional cessation of any provocation or threat to neighbouring countries.
It upholds the inherent right of the GCC states and Jordan to defend their territories.
The Cabinet extended its appreciation to the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), the National Guard and the Interior Ministry as well as the military, security and civil authorities for their efforts, high level of readiness and efficiency in effectively addressing developments.
They play a vital role in safeguarding the kingdom and preserving its security and stability, it said.
The Cabinet also commended the national workforce within Team Bahrain across various sectors, and their dedicated efforts in serving Bahrain and addressing diverse challenges with professionalism and efficiency.
The Cabinet then expressed its pride in the solidarity and national unity demonstrated by citizens and residents.
The session expressed its sincere appreciation to GCC states and allied countries for their co-operation during this time.
It underscored the importance of these relations in light of current developments.
The Cabinet also commended their solidarity and international diplomatic engagement in support of Bahrain in confronting the hostile Iranian aggression, which constitutes a violation of international law.
The session commended the outcomes of His Majesty’s meeting with King Abdullah of Jordan, highlighting the importance of King Abdullah’s visit in further advancing the long-standing relations.
The Cabinet also welcomed the outcomes of the King’s meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi.
It underscored the significance of President Al Sisi’s visit in enhancing joint efforts between the two countries.
