Covid-19 restrictions extended until June 25
As much as I am glad we are extending lockdown to reduce Covid spread, what happens to the business owners? The workers? The people who won’t get paid? Who can’t pay rent or EWA? What happens to them? How is this going to be solved? Especially expats who are already in a crisis?

An undesirable but unfortunately a necessary step. The number of new cases has been declining partly because they have changed the rules for who gets tested. But the positivity rate, the number of critical cases and the number dying every day are still very high compared with other countries in the region. I feel bad for the many people who will suffer further. Please be generous with your local charities. Tough times are ahead for many people but In sha Allah this too shall pass.

Vaccination is to protect you in case you get Covid. Vaccination doesn’t confirm that you will not get Covid. It is to ensure your body has enough antibodies already to fight Covid. This ensures that it won’t become severe in case you get infected later, and you won’t die. People die when they get Covid for the first time and by the time the body makes 60 per cent antibodies the virus will have taken over your vital organs and you won’t make it. The only way to get immunity against the virus is by getting infected and then recovering or getting vaccinated before getting infected. So the main point here is vaccinated people can get infected at a later stage when the antibodies in the body starts reducing because there is no studies yet indicating how long the antibodies stay in the body after vaccination. Most vaccine manufacturers are saying antibodies will be present in our body for three to four months after vaccination (second dose).

MPs brainstorm ways to save businesses
Are they serious? They extended the lockdown, then are looking for a way to rescue business. Man, this is a circus.
@abdulsamad.o2
There is no way.
@hanah.pr
Good joke.
@snap0grapher
Cut EWA bills for three months.
@stronk.drom
We really need serious action on the EWA bills, cut-off will not impact anything. Tamkeen should support businesses affected, rents should be waived, finance schemes should be used. We are local and suffering to survive in our own country.
@futuresc.bahrain
Very easy. Step one: Drop the loans. Step 2: Open businesses. Very easy.
