Manama claimed their seventh consecutive victory in the Zain Bahrain Basketball League defeating Nuwaidrat 97-63 in a ninth-week game at Zain Arena in Um Al Hassam last night.
Manama were dominant in all the quarters, taking the opener 28-18 and claiming the next 21-12 to lead by 19 points at the interval. They continued tormenting their opponents taking the third quarter 23-11 and finishing off with a three-point margin (25-22) in the final session.
Devin Ebanks led the way for the winners with 20 points and 11 rebounds. He was supported by Mohammed Hussain who finished with 17 points. Anthony Walker was the top scorer for Nuwaidrat with 16 points.
Meanwhile, Al Ettihad held off Isa Town 145-116 in another game. The winners stayed ahead in all the quarters leading 68-49 at half-time.
Hassan Albossta scored 30 points along with six rebounds and five assists to pace the winners, supported by Brian Bridgeforth with 19 points and Hassan Fahad with 18.
The ninth-week games conclude today when reigning champions Al Ahli clash with Muharraq at 7pm.
