Saar Club’s Mohammed Abbas has clinched the title in the National Day Table Tennis Championship after beating teammate Sayyed Mortadha Hussein 3-2.
The championship was held on the occasion of the National Day and the anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad’s accession to the throne.
Bahrain Table Tennis Association chairperson Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa presented the winner with a trophy in the public category.
The association’s vice-chairman Ali Al Madeh crowned Mohammed Abbas and Elyas Al Yassi as the winners of the doubles category. The duo outclassed Hassan Abdulrahim and Sayyed Mortadha Hussein in the final.
Competitions Committee chairman Salman Youssef crowned Mohammed Nader of A’ali Club, who won the trophies of the U-16 and U-13 categories, and runner-up Mohammed Naji, also from A’ali Club.
