A WEEKEND weather alert for rising sand, dust haze and strong winds was issued yesterday. “Rising dust is expected on Friday, becoming thicker on Saturday, with gusts persisting until Sunday,” said the Transportation and Telecommunications Ministry’s Meteorological Directorate.
“Wind gusts may reach 30 knots, and 22 knots at the lowest, with the strong winds affecting seaside areas.”
The minimum temperature is expected to be 22C over the weekend, with a maximum temperature of 34C. Meanwhile, the directorate also warned against misinformation regarding the weather conditions, advising citizens and residents to check official channels for updates.
