CRICKET – Bahrain Cricket Federation (BCF) advisory board chairman and Asian Cricket Council executive board member Mohammad Mansoor met with a delegation from the Goa Cricket Association (GCA), led by GCA president Mahesh Dessai, during a trip to India.
Mansoor was in India on a business visit and travelled to Goa on the GCA’s invitation.
Also on hand were GCA treasurer Abdul Majid and former GCA president Chetan Dessai.
The meeting featured a constructive exchange of views on cricket development, sports administration, infrastructure, and international exposure, alongside a broader discussion on opportunities for greater collaboration between Bahrain cricket and Goa.
Talks explored the possible exchange of cricketing expertise, technical knowledge, coaching and development programmes, as well as opportunities for teams from both sides to gain international exposure through tours and matches.
Mansoor expressed appreciation for the progress made by the GCA and applauded the efforts of Dessai and his team in strengthening cricket infrastructure and development in the state.
The discussions come at a time of increasing international engagement for Goa cricket, including the recent tour of a Goa team to Oman, and the BCF’s continued efforts to build meaningful relationships with cricketing organisations internationally and expand opportunities for players, coaches, and the wider cricketing community.
During the visit, Mansoor also toured a new cricket ground currently under construction in Goa and spoke positively of the project.
