His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa has praised historic relations between Bahrain and the UK and growing co-operation and co-ordination in various areas.
Shaikh Nasser was speaking as he met British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
He affirmed growing bilateral relations thanks to the vision of His Majesty and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He also commended the British Prime Minister’s efforts to boost relations.
Shaikh Nasser later visited the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS) where he met Prince Edward and RMAS Commandant major general Duncan Capps.
He attended the unveiling of Queen Elizabeth’s statue as part of platinum jubilee celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of her accession to the throne.
Shaikh Nasser also met a number of Bahraini officer cadets, wished them success, and urged them to benefit from the prestigious academy’s military programmes and professional training. He praised the major role played by RMAS in preparing qualified officers and honing their skills.
