DEVELOPMENT of municipal services remains a key priority for the government, said a top official.
Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Minister Wael Al Mubarak reaffirmed that the latest technologies were being adopted to ensure smooth and fast delivery of services.
The minister made the remarks as he inspected the progress of work at the Muharraq Municipality’s Customer Service Centre yesterday.
Mr Al Mubarak was accompanied by the ministry’s Municipal Affairs Under-Secretary Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa as they met visitors to the centre.
“The ministry is keen to enhance the quality of government services provided to the public and satisfaction of beneficiaries will be constantly evaluated,” Mr Al Mubarak said.
“We are adopting initiatives that guarantee development and improvement of services while setting standards to ensure excellence.”
Shaikh Mohammed said municipalities were ‘an important meeting point’ for the ministry, citizens and residents.
“The ministry gives great importance to customers’ evaluations which are constantly reviewed to achieve their aspirations,” he said.
“We are aiming to enhance competitiveness in all streams of municipal services as part of efforts to serve the country and citizens.”
