A 23-year-old man was caught by police in India after riding a motorcycle with a suspicious sack tied to the rear seat.
The suspect allegedly killed his girlfriend at his hostel after accusing her of having an affair.
Bengal Police arrested the suspect, identified as Amit Kumar Mahato, on Saturday night at a highway checkpoint near Jamshedpur. Officers discovered the body of the victim, 20-year-old Pritika Mahato, inside a large sack strapped to the back of his vehicle.
Police confirmed that the suspect admitted to killing her over infidelity suspicions. He had invited her to his hostel room while other boarders were away playing a football match.
The victim’s throat had been slit. Her body has been sent for a post-mortem examination.
