THE government’s efforts are focused on directing all services to achieve sustainable development for the kingdom and its citizens in all fields, said a top official yesterday.
Deputy Prime Minister, Infrastructure Minister and Civil Service Council deputy chairman Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa made the remarks as he patronised a ceremony hosted by the Institute of Public Administration (BIPA), marking the graduation of 75 public and private sector employees from the third, fourth and fifth batches of the Masters Programme in Public Administration.
A number of ministers, government and private sector officials and guests, as well as representatives of Aix-Marseille University, France, and the National School of Administration in France, also attended the graduation ceremony.
The Deputy Prime Minister praised the output of the Masters Programme in Public Administration since its inception in 2016, noting that it has refined the expertise of employees and encouraged them to take part in policy-making through solid scientific theses aimed at improving the services provided in the public and private sectors.
The Masters Programme in Public Administration is offered by BIPA in collaboration with the Aix-Marseille University and the National School of Administration in France.
BIPA director general Dr Raed Mohammed bin Shams said the programme is in line with the government’s goals of improving the skills of employees and enhancing the quality of productivity, which would boost the national economy and achieve future ambitions.
