The newly elected board of the Bahrain Chamber is set to hold its first procedural meeting following the conclusion of the week-long appeals period, paving the way for the election of its leadership.
Nabeel Kanoo is expected to assume the chairmanship, with Mohamed Abduljabbar Al Koheji as first vice chairman and Nawaf Khalid Al Zayani as second vice chairman.
Winners of the 31st term said the next phase calls for cohesive institutional work to meet economic challenges, strengthen the chamber’s role in representing the private sector, and defend its interests.
Mr Kanoo described the victory as a major responsibility, affirming that the board will act as one team to deliver its strategy – supporting SMEs, empowering entrepreneurs, and advancing legislation in line with regional and global developments.
He added that the board will deepen public-private partnerships and expand engagement with businesses to turn feedback into practical policies.
Meanwhile, elections supervisory committee chairman Abbas Radhi said the vote was conducted transparently and securely, enabling the business community to exercise its rights freely.
He noted that holding the elections amid regional challenges underscores Bahrain’s institutional strength and stability, and extended his thanks to all contributors, including volunteers, for ensuring a smooth process.
